License¶

Opencomplai is open-core: a community edition licensed for openness and auditability, and an enterprise edition for teams who need a commercial licence.

Community Edition¶

Opencomplai — this repository — is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 (AGPL-3.0). It covers the full risk assessment engine, CLI, SDK, services, and the EU AI Act Checker.

The AGPL-3.0 is a copyleft licence: if you modify Opencomplai and make it available to users over a network, you must make your modified source available to those users under the same licence. See the full licence text for the exact terms.

Enterprise Edition¶

For use cases the AGPL doesn't fit — including a hosted premium dashboard, single sign-on, additional rule engines, and commercial support — Opencomplai Enterprise Edition is available under a commercial licence. See opencomplai.com for details.

Contributing¶

All contributors sign the Contributor Licence Agreement, which is what allows the project to offer both the AGPL community licence and a commercial enterprise licence from the same codebase. See Contributing for development setup and workflow conventions.
